NIGAWD conducted outreach intervention to 3 primary school in Ado-Ekiti, th state capital of Ekiti State, South West, Nigeria. the schools are: St. Michael Primary School, Jonathan Memorial School and Moferere community primary school all situated at moferere, Ajilosun, Ado-Ekiti.
The pupils were enlightened on the importance of handwashing as a means to prevent diseases such as typhoid, cholera, diarrhea among others. A total of 180 pupils were reached in the 3 schools. 99 from Jonathan Memorial School, 40 from St. Michael Primary School, and 41 from primary 4&5 of Moferere community primary school.
A participatory approach was employed as well as role playing and demonstration methods. Also, NIGAWD donated 2 hand washing bowl, 125ml antiseptic disinfectant and 6 pieces of tiolet soap to each school
