ARC Foundation India believes that Global Handwashing Day and this initiative is going to really help the children to learn how to keep themselves microbes free, while also saving them from various illnesses and infections. The ARC Foundation India celebrated Global Handwashing Day 2015 in Coimbatore, and in the future begin to celebrate it in 10 Corporation Elementary Schools and 1 Tribal School in Mettupallayam, for children in Grades 1 – Grade 5 (ages 6 years to 12 years) covering around 1000 students. ARC Foundation India will also support the Coimbatore Corporation Team in promoting handwashing in all of the Corporation Elementary Schools throughout the year. This will also be a part of a dengue awareness initiative which is proposed to begin in couple of months.
