Global Handwashing Day was celebrated in seven primary schools in Hyrax. More than 2,800 school pupils, 500 community members, 40 teachers and 100 guests gathered to celebrate the event themed “Make Handwashing a Habit.” The event was planned by the Department of Health of Nakuru County and in partnership with partner NGOs, including Practical Action, Amref Health Africa, Water and Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP), World Vision, Sanivation, etc.
