SATRA held a week-long celebration from October 15th to 23rd October in 49 villages of Darrang District in Assam, India. These remote villages were among those the most affected by recent flooding, making them often inaccessible by road. The activities conducted included awareness campaigns, handwashing demonstrations, “street plays” in multiple local languages, and group handwashing sessions in schools and communities. These events directly affected 18,769 students and 4,373 community members. An additional 12,932 individuals were reached by reached through rallies and poster activities n the community.
