October 15 is Global Handwashing Day, a global advocacy day dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding about the importance of handwashing with soap as an effective and affordable way to prevent diseases and save lives. Promoting handwashing doesn’t just include providing hygiene facilities, soap, and water. Behavior change is a crucial component of making handwashing a habit. AGAHE celebrated GHWD with adolescent girls and teachers at Govt. Girls High School, Muzaffargarh to encourage school children to adopt a habit of handwashing with soap.
Children were excited to perform tableau on importance of handwashing with soap. Quiz competition was held to sensitize girls about information that everyone should have regarding critical times for handwashing, steps of handwashing and others. Pictures of this event can be viewed here.
