For Global Handwashing Day, Caritas-Pakistan in Karachi under the WASH project formed a group of health and hygiene promoters comprised of 14 children. The child promoters taught other children in the fishing community of Soomar Village in Karachi to promote good hygiene practices to prevent diseases and promote positive attitude towards good health practices. Training certificates and hygiene kits were also distributed among the health and hygiene promoters.
