Chantiers jeunes/Réseau Glégbenu in Benin will celebrate Global Handwashing Day by establishing and promoting habits among target audiences, educating schoolchildren and their caregivers on handwashing and ensure behavior change, install 50 handwashing devices at schools, and demonstrate improved handwashing with soap practices. These activities will be launched during a ceremony with different project actors and stakeholders, followed by awareness Sessions that bring together the leaders of CSOs, healthworkers, teachers, mothers of children under the age of five, and caregivers of young school children. The events will include posters, t-shirt give-aways, games, and a televised discussion of hand hygiene on Benin’s national televised news station, ORTB.
