Children Are Reason Enough (C.A.R.E) held its 3rd annual Global Handwashing Day celebration on October 15 at the SOS children’s village in Asiakwa. The celebration involved children from 5 different schools totaling about 800 children. C.A.R.E. staff spoke to children about personal hygiene, sanitation, essence of handwashing, menstrual hygiene among others, and had a drawing competition illustrating the best handwashing practice. There were 7 volunteers/organizers and 12 teachers involved.
