Citizens Association for Child Rights (CACR) celebrated at a municipal school in Mumbai on October 15, catering to students from marginalized communities and weak economic background.
A bedsheet painting contest was held with students from several class levels at a Nityanand municipal school in Mumbai. Teams were given soap cases and handwash leaflets on successfully getting their messages across. CACR also coordinated with UNICEF India to discuss the benefits and the proper way to wash hands among 150 students, teachers, and education department officials.
Other activities included creating awareness on the importance of handwashing with soap through songs and games and distributing soap bars to students and their parents for home-use.
