Soap for Hope, a program of Disaster Aid Canada, in support of Global Handwashing Day on October 15th, fundraised money to supply 800 comprehensive Hygiene Kits to Our Place Society. Soap for Hope received a $1,500 donation from Best Western Plus Inner Harbour. We also hosted a fundraiser at Saanich Boston Pizza which brought in another $600. Every person who went for dinner between 5 pm and midnight was given an informational pamphlet on the importance of washing your hands with Soap and Water. Soap for Hope was able to put together and donate 800- 19 piece hygiene kits as well as donate 150 Towels to Our Place Society’s “Project Connect”.
