Location: Nuku, Papua New Guinea
Participants: 200
Organizations: St. John Of God Health Care and Brothers of St. John of God
A team from St. John of God Health Care (Australia) visited the Brothers of St. John of God (PNG) regularly to provide capacity building support to the Brothers working at the Walamu Aid Post. During a recent visit, the Brothers organised activities for Global Handawshing Day to be held at Nuku Anglo Primary school. The team demonstrated how to build and use a tippy-tap; created a small play to demonstrate the importance of handwashing and health; and wrote a short handwashing song in Tok Pisin. The children, staff, parents, and the team enjoyed the morning.
