On 15 October, 2014, 296 students, aged 3 to 14, from the Middle School Stolnici participated in Global Handwashing Day.
The doctor of the village took part in this activity to explain to the students the importance of using soap before eating, after using the toilet, after playing with animals, and before going to bed. Fliers and samples of soap were shared to the passers-by on the street who also heard messages about how they could be protected from many diseases by just washing with soap and water.
There was also an exhibit of drawings related to hygiene, a contest on topics of hygiene, and a festivity for parents.
