Global Media Foundation (GLOMEF) marked the day with a one-hour radio program was held on Radio BAR 93. 5 in Sunyani, the regional capital of Brong Ahafo and has listenership of over 5000. The program had three segments: 20 minutes drama on handwashing, 25 minutes expert discussions, and 15 phone-in calls from the public. After the radio program, 30 minutes handwashing demonstration was done at the site of one of the busiest public toilet in the capital of Newtown. About 30 direct individuals who used the facility that morning was reached on how to properly wash their hands after visiting toilet.
