Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta celebrates Global Handwashing Day by visiting SMPN 181 Bendungan Hilir Jakarta for a handwashing and hygiene education activity on Wednesday, 15 October 2014.
Global Handwashing Day takes place every 15 October to encourage everyone to wash their hands with soap. This campaign aims to reduce the number of children who suffer from diarrhea and acute respiratory infections, especially in those living in developing countries like Indonesia.
The Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta is proud to be part of this campaign.
“Our involvement in the Global Handwashing Day promotes our cooporate social responsibility focus in education and health issues. We hope that our efforts help students learn the be benefits of handwashing with soap,” said Jürgen Dörr, general manager.
