National Rural Support Programme (NRSP) held a week-long celebration, hosting 56 events that extended critical handwashing information to over 9,352 students, teachers, and community members in seven district of three provinces throughout Pakistan. Organizers conducted a banner displays, school-level activities presenting on key handwashing information such as the importance of soap and critical times for handwashing, promoted habit formation, awareness sessions, and handwashing demonstration.
The celebration as well as Global Handwashing Day were also highlighted in the local media outlets, including LG & RDD Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in English and Urdu.
