Oxfam celebrates Global Handwashing Day 2017 with partners in South Sudan

Oxfam South Sudan joined the world in celebrating Global Handwashing Day, reaching a total of 29 780 people. Activities included handwashing demonstrations, public addresses, handwashing competitions amongst school children, tippy tap installations, and radio shows on the history of handwashing and its importance on local radio stations. Oxfam South Sudan managed to commemorate the day in collaboration with partners in six (6) locations: Juba, Lankien, Nyal, Pibor, Tonj East, and Wau. Partners included Catholic Relief Services, Mercy Corps, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Water Resources & Irrigation, Nile Hope, Save the Children, and UNICEF.
