Global Handwashing Day was an inspiring event and a great day for TEAM SAHAYATRI being the part of GURUKUL to raise awareness and promote handwashing. The students were dressed in the traditional typical dress of the Brahmin society, and thereby study sanskrit for their further careers as priests. For Global Handwashing Day, we managed to distribute some stationary materials to students and handed the rest of it along with soaps to the school. We also conducted a quiz competition among the students and gifted the winning team. In order to encourage the students, we organized a drawing competition too and the student with the best drawing was awarded with a gift. Though it was a small effort, since we are an emerging organization, we were able to conduct the program successfully.
