Save the Children celebrates Global Handwashing Day 2017 in Vietnam

In celebration of Global Handwashing Day, Save the Children organized handwahsing events and demonstrations, engaging 1,500 students from primary and secondary schools in Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong city. Save the Children held its main event and a series of school-based activities to promote handwashing. The main event, has attended by 1,400 people with the majority are primary students. Also have representatives from mass media, Hai Phong Department of Eduaction and Training, organisations working on hand washing, Save the Children. Children led the event, they used role play, quizzes to share messages on handwashing. Along with the main event, 60 schools in Hai Phong, Ha Noi and Tien Giang organised extra curriculum classes to teach students how to wash their hands which reach 48,000 students. Staff from Save the Children and Wrigley company had a community Day to clean toilets, setting up handwashing systems at Phuoc Trung 1 primary school, Tien Giang.
