Tata-Dhan Academy teaches 120 students and villagers to properly wash hands

Tata-Dhan Academy (TDA) of the DHAN Foundation in India celebrated Global Handwashing Day on October 15th at Ramasamy patty village in Virudhunagar district in Tamil Nadu with 120 school students and villagers. Awareness created among the children and villagers regarding importance of hand washing using with soap, causes and effects about unhygienic practices. TDA students demonstrated about process steps in hand washing by using tippy tap, a simple device, which was made up with locally available material. Ultimately, school students and villagers have taken pledge on hand washing. Essay competition and drawing competition were also conducted among school students to create awareness. The events was facilitated by Ms. P. Dheivanai, Faculty, Tata-Dhan Academy.
