Tata Motors Ltd., based in India, celebrated Global Handwashing Day across Pimpri-Chinchwad City of Pune with a unique multi-partner collaboration. The major stakeholders coming together are Pimpri-Chinchwad City municipal corporation 131 schools, Integrated Child Development Services, 200 anganwadi centers, Annamrita – Mid Day Meal initiate, Sakal Media Group and Tata Motors, Pimpri. The Event targets 70,000 children from age group 3 to 15 years from community child centers to secondary schools spreading a message making hand washing a habit. The Main event will be hosted at Bhosari, Pimpri Chinchwad where 2000 children will wash their hands together. There will be hand-wash stations constructed to spread awareness on infrastructure. The entire drive will be volunteered by 400 plus volunteers across city to spread awareness, demonstrate steps of handwashing.
