About 3,000 students at Coronation Primary School in Port Moresby participated in the Global Handwashing Day, which was hosted by UNICEF. Hundreds of students in Eastern Highlands province participated in Observing Global Hand washing day. Children participated in building innovative tippy taps, designing posters and messages. Key messages on hand washing with soap was best promoted by local popular Comedians who performed hilarious comedy with a message – Wash Your Hands to Stay Healthy. Hand washing Songs, Jingles and Animation were also broadcast.
