Communities in Nampula and Zambezia provinces celebrated the day with activities that included handwashing demonstrations, hygiene promotion at the critical moments, speeches, an interactive quiz session on handwashing. UNICEF provided 1,000 brochures on handwashing for the event.
In Maputo, students at 11 schools attended lectures on handwashing and participated in interactive quiz sessions on handwashing, which were co-organized with WSUP. Each student received a soap and brochures.
