Vatsalya with consensus and collaboration with Swachchh Bharat Mission in Uttar Pradesh, celebrated the Global Handwashing Day to create awareness about the necessity of handwashing, as well as consequences of unhygienic hands in terms of health, nutrition and economy among the people. This event was supported by WaterAid and Plan India. The event showcased the impactful work currently being undertaken within the sector and also defines the path forward. The event also sought to encourage participants to take a step towards making community disease-free through regular handwashing. A rally through Lucknow was held by 600 children to make people aware of benefits of handwashing.
