WSSCC-Somalia and the local government of Hargeisa celebrate Global Handwashing Day. Events took place in several towns, including five districts in Hargiesa. The mayor of Hargiesa Mr. Abdirahman Mohamoud Aidid gave attention to the importance of havewashing hands at key times. 1500 people took part these events, which included poster and soap distributions. Social media messaging and television and radio campaigns reached 1,500,000 people.
