Water Mission Low Cost Community Handwashing Station
This approach uses an existing tap valve at a water distribution location and designates it as a handwashing-only valve. This option is recommended for kiosk-style water distribution points and is intended to be a temporary solution for specific responses. It is important that there are other taps available for safe water distribution and that use of the valve does not impede or reduce the ability to efficiently collect safe water. There should be clear signage to distinguish the valve for handwashing use only and a place for supplying soap at the valve.
