On the occasion of Global Handwashing Day on October 15, 2021, Safeguard “Spread Health Across China” campaign, partnered with CCTV.com, held a livestream event of a splendid ceremony on the Great Wall in Beijing, China. Officers of the National Health Commission, the spokesperson of Safeguard, representatives of Zhong Nanshan Medical Foundation of Guangdong Province, brand partners and media guests were invited to witness the event. At the event, a spectacular blue Great Wall of health was lit up with the witness of millions of audiences on-line and on-site guests.
In 2008, Safeguard was one of the first brands to bring the “Global Handwashing Day” into China. Since then, Safeguard has been committed to hand washing education and the construction of hand washing facilities. Since 2020, Safeguard has upgraded the public welfare action to launch the health education and public welfare project “Spread Health Across China”. Safeguard is committed to popularizing health knowledge and correct handwashing habits to 100 million people in China. So far, the project has covered 550 rural primary schools in 11 provinces, delivered 2253 hand washing facilities, helping 236,663 rural students get comprehensive support from health facilities and health education courses. More than 40 million people have popularized health knowledge and corrected hand washing habits.
The livestream of the Great Wall ceremony of the Global Handwashing day initiated a further round of Safeguard health education and public welfare project in China. Safeguard will continue on health knowledge education, and contribute to protecting more familie’s health and support children’s healthy growth in China.
