NEW RESOURCE: Handwashing Stations Database

May 5, 2022

According to the latest estimates, 3 billion people – 40% of the world’s population – do not have a place in their homes to wash their hands with water and soap. Three quarters of those who lack access to water and soap live in the world’s poorest countries and are amongst the most vulnerable: children and families living in informal settlements, migrant and refugee camps, or in areas of active conflict.

People with access to a designated handwashing device are 2x as likely to wash their hands with soap. As a part of a global initiative, we are excited to launch our new handwashing stations database in partnership with UNICEF, which serves as an interactive platform to collect and share a wide range of fit for purpose handwashing stations and station designs. Check out the new database and submit a handwashing station here.
