Medak District Voluntary Agencies Network (MEDVAN) of India celebrated Global Handwashing Day, in collaboration with UNICEF and the District Swachha Bhartah Mission in Sangareddy. The celebrated was held at Government High School Pothireddy Pally in Sangareddy Mandal. 500 students took part this event, with topics on sanitation. Materials were distributed to school management.

Jaypee Greens Golf and Spa Resort in India celebrated Global Handwashing Day and reached 50 people with handwashing glitter experiment, student presentations from on the importance of hygiene in school, at homes, and other contexts. Kits were distributed to participants containing, toothbrush and toothpaste, a comb, and soap bar.
