Project Sunshine celebrated Global Handwashing Day in Kenya from October 10 to October 15 with both hospital and school based programming in Mombasa, Likoni and Mariakani, Kenya. The programs provided recreational and educational hand washing activities to over 10,000 children and family members.

VSO will promote handwashing with soap via demonstrations, poster displays, education sessions, and soap distributions in Loitokitok town, a small rural village, reaching 520 community members, including schoolchildren, adults, and orphans.

TippyTap-Kenya hosted handwashing event educating children and community members on merits of handwashing and general hygiene.
