The Youth Welfare Community (WYC) celebrated Global Handwashing Day in several schools across Peshawar in Pakistan. YWC created awareness among schoolchildren on how to properly wash hands and protect themselves from different germs. At the end of the celebrations, WYC distributed soap to students and teachers.

Shama Development Organization (SDO) celebrated Global Handwashing Day in two schools, Forward Kahuta and Rawalakot AJK Pakistan, reaching 400 students, teachers and staff during events. The event consisted of speeches and washing hands with soap.

Pakistan Institute For Environment Development Action Research (PIEDAR) organized group handwashing events in sixteen schools in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. 1,558 students and 125 teachers washed their hands before lunch.They took part in the week long “make handwashing a habit” activities, which included poster and poetry competitions.
